If you have received the Annual Meeting documents and are looking for Page 4 of the RMA, I’ve posted it in the current posts on the first page to make it easier to find rather than looking for it in October, 2006, as the letter states. Please email info@raccoonpointroad.org with any questions. Thank you!

Road update – July 22, 2017
June 24th, 2017
Road work is scheduled Tuesday through Friday from 7:30 – 4:30. The road will be closed at times but it should be no more that 10-15 minutes at a time. Flaggers will be at each end of the road to control traffic during the closures.
If you have time we still need two people to act as flaggers from 12:00 – 4:30 at both end of the roads.
Once the chipsealing is done please keep in mind that we need to drive slow until the chipsealing is firm or the chipseal will be weakened.
Thanks everyone for your cooperation during the project.

RPRMA road work update – June 1, 2017
June 1st, 2017
- Over 100 payments have been received at the end of May. A surprising number of lots (74) paid in-full, Islanders Bank has agreed the loan for the balance.
- The Board has given final approval to move forward with the project – paperwork for the contractors and loan is being signed.
- Island Excavating (IX) will be preparing the road for the project starting June 26, 2017. The prep work will include substantial additional rock, grading, rolling and ditch clearing.
- Doolittle Construction will follow immediately after IX (literally the next day) and start the chip seal process.
- The project is expected to take 5 working days. We need dry conditions for all this work, so if it rains or the road is not completely dry it will be pushed back. If that happens, we will send an update.
- The road will be accessible during the week of activity. However, delays of up to 10 minutes may occur as equipment temporarily blocks the road; please plan ahead for delays. it would be best to travel before 9am and after 5pm to minimize delays.
- During the road work and for several days after it is complete – PLEASE DRIVE VERY SLOWLY – the road surface will need to set and extra rock removed.
